As part of Irbid National University’s continuous efforts to strengthen its international presence and foster academic and research collaboration, the university has signed a bilateral cooperation agreement with Riga Technical University in Latvia, under the Erasmus+ program funded by the European Union.
Irbid National University signs a joint memorandum of understanding with Palestine Polytechnic University
In a step aimed at strengthening academic and research cooperation between universities, Irbid National University, represented by its President Prof. Majid Abu Azreq, and Palestine Polytechnic University, represented by its President Prof. Mustafa Abu Safa, signed a cooperation agreement that seeks to enhance fruitful collaboration between the two universities in developing education and scientific research. The agreement also encourages organizing joint activities to exchange experiences in teaching and administration, in addition to other cultural promotion initiatives.
The two parties agreed to cooperate in the following areas: developing joint educational programs, organizing scientific conferences and seminars, exchanging publications and research, exchanging faculty members and students, cooperating in joint research projects, providing training services and building scientific capacities in the field of teaching. The two parties stressed the importance of activating cooperation in a way that achieves the mutual benefit of the two universities, by taking advantage of the available capabilities and exchanging scientific expertise.
Prof. Majid Abu Azreq, President of Irbid National University, welcomed the delegation of Palestine Polytechnic University, affirming that this strategic agreement between the two universities falls within the framework of a multi-dimensional partnership that unites the two countries, which share the same values and a common destiny. He pointed out that the goal is to make this agreement a pillar of tangible impact on both institutions, adding that the prospects for cooperation between the two universities are promising.
For his part, Prof. Mustafa Abu Safa, President of Palestine Polytechnic University, stated that the cooperation with Irbid National University will open new horizons for academic staff and students in both universities, through the mutual use of resources and facilities, and participation in academic events, conferences, and workshops.
At the conclusion of the signing ceremony, commemorative shields were exchanged in appreciation of the efforts of both universities in promoting advancement and leadership.
