The university was licensed by Resolution No. (601) of the year (1991) from the Ministry of Higher Education in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and it included specializations such as Arabic language, English language, business administration, accounting, law, mathematics, and computer science. The university began accepting students in the year (1994).
