In confirmation of the role of Irbid Private University in its commitment to supporting sports activities and developing students’ skills, which contributes to strengthening its presence in the Jordanian university arena, it participated in the “Prince Hussein Fourth Chess Championship for Jordanian Universities”, with a delegation that included the students: Ahmed Mohammed Salama, Adel Mahmoud Jawarneh/Mathematics major, Moataz Suleiman Al-Momani, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Sharif/Artificial Intelligence major, and Mohammed Hussein Al-Masaeed, E-Marketing major, accompanied by Captain Kamal Al-Momani/Responsible for Sports Activities in the Deanship of Student Affairs, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at Ajloun National University with the participation of (11) Jordanian universities, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Firas Al-Hanandeh/President of Ajloun National University, and in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Reem Al-Kanani, and a number of deans of colleges and members of the teaching and administrative bodies.
During the closing ceremony of the tournament, Dr. Al-Hanandeh praised the role that chess plays in developing thinking, intelligence and activating memory among students, wishing all participants a pleasant stay at the university and achieving more accomplishments..
The tournament was characterised by strong competition between the participating universities, during which the teams and players demonstrated outstanding levels of performance. At the end, the winners were honoured. In the tournament.
