Leadership and excellence in the field of translation, reaching a prestigious level among translation departments locally and in the Arab world.

Mission:

Providing advanced university education in the field of translation, and qualifying competencies scientifically and cognitively to keep pace with the needs of the labor market requirements.

Objectives:

  • Contribute to the development of translation and interpretation studies through the use of modern teaching methods and the acquisition of skills related to the specialization.
  • Refine students’ critical and creative thinking skills and develop their research abilities in the field of specialization.
  • Keeping pace with the requirements of the labor market and keeping abreast of knowledge developments.
  • Developing curricula, study plans and teaching methods in the field of translation and evaluating them to be consistent with technological and technical development.
  • Interact and build partnership with the public and private sectors by conducting studies in the field of translation.
  • Sending distinguished students to pursue their postgraduate studies in various branches of translation studies.
