Tasks and Activities of the Public Relations Department

Main Mission

The main mission of the Department of Public Relations and Media is to convey the image of the university to the community inside and outside the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Main Activities and Achievements

• Publishing news, preparing press reports, issuing publications, yearbooks, cards, guides, posters, and banners, which would convey the true image of the university.
• Follow up the news published about the university, through the read, audio, print and electronic media, and follow up the university’s website and update the news.
• Coordination and supervision with colleges, departments and centers regarding holding conferences, seminars, workshops, lectures, exhibitions and activities held by them, and working to cover them in the media in audio, visual, read and electronic means.
• Coordination and participation in the university’s annual celebrations of graduates and national, national and religious occasions.
• Strengthening relations with the media, institutions and the surrounding community.
• Supervising the hosting of official delegations visiting the university and facilitating their mission.
• Providing all the requirements for holding conferences, seminars, lectures, workshops and scientific and cultural evenings held by the university.
• Follow up on obtaining the necessary travel visas for official and private trips for professors, administrators and student delegations abroad.

• Marketing and promoting the university in the governorates and with the liaison offices inside Jordan, and distributing the university’s publications in coordination with other departments in the university, and to schools and population centers in the governorates in order to attract new students.
• Making banners, signs and external panels and distributing them in coordination with the maintenance department at the university for distribution in different governorates.

Future Aspirations

• تتطلع الدائرة بتفاؤل لتقوم الجامعة بتوسيع محيط استقطاب الطلبة من محافظات إقليم الوسط (عمان والزرقاء ومادبا والبلقاء) والدول العربية المجاورة.
• Participate in internal and external university exhibitions to show the bright image of the university.
• Focusing in the future with the faculties of the university to attract prominent and experienced personalities and senior positions to conduct conferences, seminars, lectures and workshops within the university.
• Proper maintenance of the Hashemite hall to receive university guests.
• Placing large, clear and illuminated signs at night on the College of Law building and at the intersection of Ramtha Bridge towards Zarqa, Mafraq, Jerash, and Ramtha.
• Beautification of the university buildings from the outside, especially the presidential building, the main door, and the work of an external wall for the university.
• The work of an iron door for the presidency of the university to become safe at night, and a glass door “Securit” mobile sensor internal electrical sensor, and the work of protections for the upper windows.
• Increase the number of employees in the department.
