The Public Relations Department has kept pace with the development of the university’s march since its inception, and has played important roles in activating the university’s relations with the local community, and organizing its cultural relations with universities, scientific, cultural and educational centers and institutions inside and outside the Kingdom.
The work of public relations represents an integrated set of work with a professional system of two-way communication with inquiry and media, and continuous coordination of work, to achieve its objectives through: research, planning, communication, and evaluation, and the main task of the Public Relations Department is to contribute to the development and implementation of the general strategies of the institution, and the preparation and planning of future policies of the institution, due to its role and leadership position at the university, it is the main link that connects the university with all official and private institutions and bodies internally and externally, and it conveys the image of The university is a prestige and reverence to the community, inside and outside the Kingdom.
First: Media Department
The Media Section shall be responsible for the following matters:
· Issuing statements, press reports, news, publications, scientific bulletins, books, cards, guides, posters, banners, and documentaries, which would convey the true image of the university locally and globally, and obtain feedback on the public’s reactions and deliver them to the administration.
· Coordination and supervision with colleges, departments and centers regarding holding conferences, seminars, workshops, lectures, exhibitions and activities held by them, and working to cover them in the media in audio, visual, read and electronic means, or distributing them in exhibitions by printed or electronic means, read, audio and visual, or documenting them in special publications in the department’s library and the university library.
· Participate in the university’s annual celebrations of graduates and national, national and religious occasions, and cover them in the media through various media.
· Announcing through various media the academic and administrative needs of the university.
· Studying public opinion trends and circumstances surrounding the university and transferring them to the university administration.
· Participate with other departments at the university to help develop the work.
· Responding to the news directed to the university through various media.
· Follow up the news published about the university or what interests it, through the read, audio, print and electronic media, and provide the university administration with it, and follow up on the e-mail that reaches the university via the Internet, and follow up the university’s website and update it as soon as possible.
· Linking the university with the community to be an element of social upbringing, and fair competition with universities to achieve excellence, and spread knowledge, creativity and a sense of social responsibility.
· Strengthening relations with the media, institutions and the surrounding community with honest and reliable dealings.
· Respond to inquiries, correspondence and complaints received by the department through written correspondence or print, audio, visual and electronic media.
· Providing advice and advice to the university administration on topics of interest to the internal and external public, so as not to make mistakes that affect the reputation of the university.
· Permanent precaution against the outbreak of any crisis that may affect the work of the university.
· Documenting all events held by the university with image and sound through photography and video and archiving them in a special library, with the aim of referring to them when needed.
· Provide the President of the University with the progress reports of work in the department on a timely basis.
Second: Public Relations Department
The Public Relations Department is responsible for the following matters:
· Supervising the hosting, accommodation and facilitation of the mission of official delegations visiting the university, making the necessary arrangements for this from booking travel tickets, residencies, etc., and arranging for them with the university administration, from the moment of their arrival and farewell at the airport, and showing the university at a decent level in front of them, and working to follow up the travel visa procedures for university employees.
· Providing all the requirements for holding conferences, seminars, lectures, workshops and scientific and cultural evenings held by the university.
· Preparing and designing all university publications, including brochures, posters and banners on the website
· Providing all forms of gifts held by the university for various activities.
· Supervising and monitoring social networking sites at the university.
Participate in the preparation, preparation and organization of events held by the university, and work to provide and distribute invitation cards, and any other matters required by these occasions.
· Maintaining a library, records and archive for the department that includes the addresses of ministries, institutions and internal and external universities, and the names of people and their job titles of leaders in the governorates and ministries according to the university’s need, to benefit from them when inviting them to events or addressing them with official books.
Coordination with the university administration to care for university employees with social, recreational, sports and therapeutic services, and to strengthen relations between employees to gain confidence in the administration and to increase performance efficiency.
Solve the problems facing the university administration from the internal and external community of the university.
Provide congratulations on religious, national, national and social occasions of interest to the university.
Training university employees who have direct contact with the public on how to respond and deal, and training a number of media students from outside the university on the nature of field work for public relations and media in universities.
Follow up on the university’s annual subscriptions to the media, follow up the implementation of academic and administrative agreements concluded by the university with universities and other scientific and service institutions inside and outside the Kingdom, pay the resulting subscriptions and follow up on their implementation.

Obtaining residency permits for expatriate faculty members and foreign students in ministries, labor offices, and the Civil Service Bureau.
Obtain the necessary travel visas for official and private trips of professors and student delegations abroad.
Extending invitations to official and popular persons and institutions to participate in the events held at the university.
Accompany and guide official delegations and visitors during their visit to the university and on tourist tours inside Jordan.
Marketing and promoting the university in the governorates and with liaison offices inside and outside Jordan, and distributing the university’s publications in coordination with other departments at the university, and to schools and population centers in the governorates in order to attract new students.
Making banners, signs and external paintings and distributing them in coordination with the maintenance department at the university to distribute them in the various governorates, and following up on obtaining licenses from the competent authorities to suspend them and follow up on their maintenance.
Termination of some transactions related to the university and the department internally and externally.
Monitor the university’s auditorium (Al-Kindi), the meeting hall (the Hashemite Hall), and the university presidency meeting room, in terms of arrangement, cleanliness, processing photography and acoustics, ensuring their quality, and providing the necessary facilities needed for any event held by the university.
