Irbid National University holds a training workshop for students entitled “Your Digital Safety” in cooperation with the “Nahno” platform

The "Nahno" platform ambassadors team, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, at Irbid National University, organized a training workshop entitled "Your Digital Safety" in which the following spoke: Trainer Raghad Shawabkeh and Trainer Asef Abu Al-Rab, in the presence of: Dr. Fayez Al-Atoum/Dean of Student Affairs, and the Nahno platform liaison officer: Captain Kamal Al-Momani and the Nahno platform ambassadors team and a number of university students. During the workshop, trainer Raghad Shawabkeh and trainer Asef Abu Al-Rub focused on the importance of protecting personal data and dealing with electronic blackmail, and the useful information students need on ways to protect their personal data on the Internet, and the importance of awareness in facing digital challenges. They focused on several axes, including the concept of digital security and its importance in the modern era, how to protect personal data and avoid breaches, and dealing with electronic blackmail, including legal and psychological steps to deal with such cases, and the role of universities and youth platforms in educating individuals about digital risks. The attendees came out with a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: repeating such workshops in the future to include broader topics about digital security, organizing individual advisory sessions for students facing digital problems, and creating an electronic awareness guide on protecting personal data to be distributed to students. The workshop was characterized by great interaction between trainers and students, and many questions and discussions were raised about the challenges facing young people in the digital environment. The attendees stressed the importance of organizing such workshops that contribute to building an aware society capable of facing technological risks. At the end of the workshop, Dr. Fayez Al-Atoum expressed his thanks and appreciation to the trainers and participants in the workshop, indicating that its topic is an important step towards enhancing digital awareness among young people. He extended special thanks to the “Nahno” platform ambassadors team and the Deanship of Student Affairs team for organizing such purposeful activities.
